Halloween

We will keep it low-key with some fun things in our room.  Students come to school in their costumes. No masks or weapons. The parade is scheduled for 10:45. Don’t forget half day for students with dismissal at 11:30.

Cold Weather Gear

The temperatures are dropping so make sure your child is dressed appropriately. This should be a warm jacket, hats, gloves if necessary. Once the snow starts it should also include boots. Please spend time making sure your child can zip their own coats. This will help us get ready much quicker.

Decomposing Numbers – Why We Teach This in Kindergarten

Author Visit-Jonathan Rand

The Bennie PTA is bringing the Michigan author, Jonathan Rand to our school on Tuesday, October 22nd. If you are interested in ordering any of his books send in the order form that went home on Thursday. All books are signed by the author.

NWEA-Individualized Reading Improvement Plan

Some of you received an NWEA letter home this week that you were asked to sign and return. This was to notify you that your child fell short of the first grade score on the reading portion of the NWEA test that we took in school. In order to help your child on the next test in January, make sure to make time to read every night. This will help them be more prepared in school and will increase their BAS reading levels as well.

Have a great weekend!! 🙂
